First PrideAlive Rehearsal Is Just Days Away

It’s almost here. On Monday, August 10, PrideAlive gathers for its very first rehearsal, and we could not be more excited.

It has been quite a journey to get to this point. We introduced PrideAlive back in May at MenAlive 25: Finding Our Voice, then spent Pride Month meeting so many of you at Fullerton Pride, Mission Viejo Pride, and Santa Ana Pride. Every conversation, every signup, and every bit of encouragement along the way has led us here, to the first Monday night this chorus stands together and sings.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • When: Monday, August 10, 7:30 pm, and then open rehearsals on August 17 and 31 as well.
  • Where: Church of the Foothills, 19211 Dodge Ave, Santa Ana, CA 92705
  • Who: All voices, all orientations, welcome

This is a full SATB chorus, and that means room for every range and every voice. If you sing soprano, alto, tenor, or bass, or you’re just not sure yet where you fit, there’s a place for you at Church of the Foothills this Monday.

Under the direction of Artistic Director Gavin Thrasher, this first rehearsal marks the true beginning of PrideAlive as a working chorus, building toward our debut on December 11, when we’ll take the stage for 3 to 4 songs as part of the MenAlive winter concert.

Six colors were just the beginning. We kept going, and this Monday we’re starting to sing together because of it.

See you Monday at 7:30 pm.
